We The People was founded in 2005 by the social development professionals for providing livelihoods promotion services to the poor emphasising on women, youth and farmers by offering institutional development services, financial inclusion services, business development services and technology support services. We believe ‘Income is Development’. We the People strives to address the challenge of persistent poverty by creating income opportunities for the poor and by enabling them to earn a stable income.
In order to facilitate million jobs for the people at the Bottom of the Pyramid through market aligned skills training and to reach out to the large percentage of under-skilled people and the professionals for advancing their skill-sets and careers and to have access to better working and payment conditions, higher employability and better quality of life We The People has launched RojgarAcademy.org an online learning destination and MOOC provider, offering high-quality market aligned skills training courses to learners everywhere.
We are the proud recipient of 1st Runner-Up Award at the National Skill Competition 2013 for the Best Skill Development Business Plan organized by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), TiE, CII, India@75 and Ennovent. This is India’s first skill enterprise competition organized to identify those models that have the ability to skill and place people and help towards Indian government’s goal of skilling 500 million Indians by 2022. Our innovative skill development model has been featured by NSDC as one of the 21 innovations in skills development in India to create employability for the people at the BoP. Business Outlook featured us as one of the 15 promising Social Enterprises in India in its Independence Day Special Issue (August 31, 2013).

With a modest beginning, we started our on-site skills training emphasizing on the under-skilled and under-educated youth in India and envisaged to share our on-site learning experience through our e-learning website portal viz. RojgarAcademy.org and MOOC, and to reach out to students from every country in the world.
